BTS’ Jimin beats COVID-19 and was discharged after surgery

Park Jimin has recovered from his surgery for appendicitis and has also overcome the symptoms of COVID-19. The BTS member was discharged from the hospital on the morning of February 5th, agency BIG HIT reported in an update on Weverse. ARMY celebrates that the singer can return home to continue his post-operative rest.

Jimin underwent surgery on January 31st after complaining of severe abdominal pain that turned out to be acute appendicitis. Upon arrival at the hospital, he underwent a PCR test and tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The surgery was successful, and the idol also reassured fans in his own words in a message he sent on February 2nd. In BIGHIT’s statement released on Saturday the 5th, the agency announces that Jimin’s quarantine as a coronavirus patient has ended.

The agency reports that Park Jimin tested negative for the PCR test that was taken before he was discharged from the health center. Regarding the surgery, the medical department informed BIG HIT that the operated area is healing smoothly.

Now, the artist will rest a while longer but in his home.

We would like to inform you that BTS Member Jimin’s quarantine has conclude after his surgery for acute appendicitis as of this early morning (February 5).

Jimin was tested positive for COVID-19 and diagnosed with acute appendicitis on Sunday, January 30 and underwent surgery on Monday 31.

He has since received inpatient care and tested negative in his PCR test before being discharged from the hospital

Jimin showed no extraordinary symptoms during his hospital stay. He had a mild sore throat at the time of his admission but has since completely recovered.

We alsod received  from the medical staff that his surgical site is quickly healing without any issues. Jimin is currently recuperating after being discharges from the hospital.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who has show about concerns for the artist’s health as well as those in the medical field who are doing their best to overcome COVID-19.
