BTS’ RM was inspired by this boy’s story and wrote a song. In 2017, RM and Taehyung released the song “4 O’Clock“, which was part of their FESTA anniversary celebration.
Both idols participated in the composition and production of it, whose meaning refers to the so-called blue hour or golden hour, a very fleeting and brief moment of the day.
However, the BTS rapper was also inspired by the story of a boy portrayed in the Oscar-winning movie “Moonlight.” The idol included a line from the film as part of the lyrics, which reads:
“Like any movie, like the line … The whole world is blue in the moonlight”
.
ARMY called the gesture as a show of support for the LGBTQ+ community, reinforcing his speech about being yourself. “Moonlight” portrays the life of a young boy living in Miami, who will make a journey of discovery and acceptance, since he cannot accept his homosexuality.
