Wheein, the MAMAMOO member split from RBW Entertainment in June of this year and is now preparing to release her first solo comeback with new agency THE L1VE. Entitled “WHEE”, the mini album is scheduled for January 16th.
Wheein remains on MAMAMOO despite the change of agency and in August of this year the group released the album “I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST”, a compiled with new versions of their past hits and an unreleased track called “mumumumuch” . The breakup surprised fans, but in a statement it was revealed that she continues to work with Solar, Moonbyul and Hwasa until 2023.

“Wheein signed an extended agreement to participate in some activities, including albums and concerts, until December 2023. MAMAMOOO’s music will continue with the love of fans and we will inform you of future activities”, the statement said at the time.

Knowing this, it’s clear that Wheein’s solo career does n’t influence or affect MAMAMOO and now she’s dedicated to the new release. “WHEE” comes after its predecessor “Redd”, released in April of this year.
