The television network issued a statement discussing the controversy that arose from the first episodes of ‘Snowdrop‘, their new drama starring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
JTBC said that the background of the drama and the reason for the main events are the presidential elections during the military regime.
“In this context there is a fictional story that the established powers must work together with the North Korean regime to maintain power.”
The television station regretted that the misunderstandings that distorted the story and “the disparagement of the democratization movement” and promised that as the series progresses, the doubts about the plot will be resolved.
