Bad news for fans of singer Charli XCX hoping to see her on Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend. Due to new restrictive measures to prevent the advancement of the Ômicron variant of COVID-19 in the United States, the number of people behind the scenes of the program had to be reduced, which made the artist’s performance impossible.
“I am devastated and heartbroken. Myself, Caroline, Christine and all of our crews and teams have worked so hard all week alongside the SNL team to bring the most amazing musical performance to life”, wrote the Brit.
“It can’t happen this time but I’ll be back! I am currently safe and healthy but of course very sad. Please look after yourselves out there and make sure you get vaccinated if you haven’t already. Lots of love, Charli”, she finished.
