JYP Entertaiment, responsible for groups such as TWICE and Stray Kids, is coming under fire after announcing the logo of its newest K-Pop group. That’s because, for many fans, the agency would be plagiarizing Starship Entertainment’s MONSTA X.
The controversy took shape last Sunday, October 31st, after JYP published the logo on Twitter that said “The heroes are coming” and “We are all heroes”. Despite the anticipation and curiosity, speculations about the teaser’s originality gained momentum, so much so that so far the tweet has added more than 2,100 comments, 10,100 retweets and 6,900 likes
In particular, many K-Pop fans noticed similarities between the JYP logo and the aesthetic used by MONSTA X on the album “WE ARE HERE”, released in 2019 “HERO“.

In other releated news, on Wednesday, October 20th, MONSTA X cheered their fans by announcing the date of their next comeback! “THE DREAMING” is the second English album by the K-Pop group and hits streaming platforms on December 10th. Almost a Christmas present, huh!
The comeback of MONSTA X will only have five members, Minhyuk, Kihyun,Hyungwon,Jooheon and IM. That’s because the Shownu leader began his mandatory military service in July of this year. Last year, they released their first English-language album, “All About Luv” which reached the top 5 on the Billboard 200.
