Generations of pop! The partnership between Dua Lipa and Elton John occupies the number one position on Billboard’s Hot Dance / Electronic Songs chart, with the remix of “Cold Heart”. In the week ending the count on October 14th, the duet jumped 31% with 21.
2 million airplay ratings. In the US, growth was 18% with 8 million streams, according to MRC Data.
“Cold Heart”, part of the collection of collaborations from the album “The Lockdown Sessions”, released by Elton, mixes four of his classics from the 1970s and 80s, including “Rocket Man” and “Sacrifice”. The track also climbed from #32 to #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, where John boasts his best placing since March 1998.
“Cold Heart” is also a milestone in Dua Lipa’s career.
The collaboration with Elton is the singer’s third #1 in the UK, following the singles “New Rules ” and “One Kiss”. But the last number one of Elton John in UK chart hit in 2005, through the special musician participation in the posthumous single from 2Pac, “Ghetto Gospel“.
