The literary market “discovered” fanfics in recent years and, mainly, how they can be profitable. Usually available serially and for free on the Internet, fanfics can nourish thousands and even millions of online readers.
And many of these people would like to have the physical book to keep.
With that, some publishers began to invest in these stories written by fans. Even publishers specializing in fanfics are being opened.

The book “Honestly: sincerely”, published by author Bruna Zielinski via Rocco, is the evolution of a fanfic she wrote, inspired by members Baekhyun and Chanyeol of the K-Pop group EXO. For the launch, the names of the characters were changed to Benjamin Park and Leonardo Guimarães.
The series of books “After“, of Anna Todd, has emerged as a fanfic of Harry Styles. On the Internet, the fanfic had more than six million comments from readers, which caught the attention of a publisher in 2014 and, a year later, of Paramount Pictures.
The third film has just opened in theaters.

The lesbian novel “Dito, Sa Purple House”, published by Purple Chrystyl S. Romero in the Philippines, is inspired by Irene and Seulgi of the K-Pop group Red Velvet. The author confirmed that the story was born as a fanfic.
The book “Assombrado”, published by N. Belikov via publisher Euphoria, is the result of a fanfic by Jungkook and Jimin from BTS. It was read by more than 1.4 million readers in the online version before it was published.
The book “The Last Coffe”, by author Brenda Neves, is a lesbian fanfic imagining a romance between Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui. It had 184,000 views on the Spirit Fanfictin website before being published by the HPM Group.
