Coldplay released an excerpt from “My Universe“, the group’s association with BTS, which will be released on September 24th. After confirming that collaboration with the South Koreans would be on the way, the British released a short 18-second video that already gives an idea of what is to come.
The video was released through Coldplay and BTS’s official TikTok profiles. In it, we can see band vocalist Chris Martin in the studio with Jimin, Jin, RM, Suga, J-Hope, V, and Jungkook. Martin is even wearing a BTS team sweatshirt, which shows that he is already intimate with the boys.

Part of the lyrics for “My Universe” also appear in this teaser. The excerpt reads the following:
“You, you are / My universe / And I just want to put you first / And you, you are / My universe / And you make my heart light up inside”

Coldplay’s partnership with BTS will be sung in both English and Korean and will be the successor to the singles “High Power” and “Coloratura” released by Chris Martin and Co. in May and July, respectively.
“My Universe” is one of the tracks on Coldplay’s new album, “Music of the Spheres” which is scheduled for release on October 15th. However, the single featuring BTS will be released earlier, on September 24.
The album is signed by star producer Max Martin.
The band announced the album via Instagram via a handwritten note and trailer for the project, which combines a cosmic journey through album art, crossing planets in one animation mixed with short clips that mix the 12 tracks of the project.
The note left by the band also seems to suggest other themes from the world of science fiction from the phrase “they are all aliens somewhere”
In May, Coldplay released their first single “Higher Power” which reached more than 160 million views. “Coloratura” was later released as a second working song.
