The personal life of idols in the K-pop industry are always very restricted, even when it comes to personal relationships. Red Velvet’s Wendy, however, did not bother to speak openly about her bisexuality during the radio show “Wendy’s Youngstreet”.
The best part of all is when the Red Velvet member was forthright in talking about her dream of living with a “boyfriend or girlfriend.” According to information taken from the Koreaboo website, Wendy gave the statement after being asked about a romantic story that she dreams of performing. The artist did not hesitate to answer:
“I have this dream for a long time, of sharing an umbrella with another person, we stay close to prevent our shoulders from getting wet. So I dream of walking with my boyfriend or girlfriend, I want to do it.” The interpreter of “Queendom” concluded.
.
On Twitter, Red Velvet fans were very surprised, mainly because sexuality preferences are still taboo in South Korea. Most bisexual and gay idols, for example, choose to keep their relationships a secret due to the sadly negative repercussions.
