SEVENTEEN fans, attention! It was communicated last Wednesday, September 1, by Pledis Entertainment that the K-Pop group will continue their activities with only 11 of the 13 members until the end of 2021.
The decision was made because Jun and The8 are Chinese and will return to their home country to “finish their jobs in China that were put off by Covid-19 and spend time with their families after being forced away from them for so long because of the pandemic”.
The artists will stay in China until December to avoid the current difficulties in travel arrangements between countries, such as the need for quarantine, which would cause a lot of time to be wasted if they kept coming and going from their commitments.
“Hello, this is PLEDIS Entertainment.
We would like to give you some information about SEVENTEEN’s activities in Korea and abroad during the second half of this year.
Our company gives full support to SEVENTEEN’s group and solo activities.
We plan the members’ activities in South Korea and abroad by exploring a wide range of opportunities for the members, seeking to ensure that artists can realize their full potential and being as close as possible to the fans.
As part of these efforts, SEVENTEEN members Jun and The8 will focus on their activities in China from September to December . They will complete their work in China that was postponed because of Covid-19 and will spend time with their families after being forced away from them for so long because of the pandemic .
As moving between countries currently requires a lot of time and effort because of the serious challenges posed by the current situation to international and regional travel, as well as the requirement for quarantine, after discussing the situation with SEVENTEEN members, it was decided that Jun and The8 they will stay in China to carry out their activities during the period.“
