The popular South Korean girl group Red Velvet finally made their long-awaited comeback on Monday with their sixth mini album, “Queendom.” The 5-member band released the 6-song album along with a music video for the title single of the same name. The song “Queendom” is a lively dance floor song with a catchy hook that highlights the beautiful voices of the members.
Lyrically, the song has an empowering message, telling listeners that “we are queens and kings” who become “more beautiful” when we come together. Red Velvet’s “Queendom” plans to become one of the most successful songs of the year.
We are talking about one of the biggest girl groups in K-Pop and it went about a year and a half without releasing anything, a great period by the standards there. Not to be missed anymore, since this Monday, August 16, they returned with an (incredible) MV and a six-track mini-album.

The concept of the video is a lot of fun. First, the headphones fall down a sewer and end up in a kind of delivery agency, where the Red Velvet girls take care of the orders. The landscape is very colorful and there are incredible choreographies. If you liked the song, the mini album is worth listening to, which is just as amazing!
Red Velvet is made up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. He has been active since 2014. On Twitter, Red Velvet’s name is one of the most talked about for his comeback. “Queendom” comes almost 2 years since “The ReVe Festival: Finale“, the group’s last full group release in December 2019, which was led by the much loved “Psycho“.
Red Velvet makes a comeback as a quintet after Wendy went on hiatus following an accident on stage during a year-end performance in 2019. Since 2020, the band has promoted primarily through a sub-unit consisting of Irene and Seulgi, and as soloists.
