BTS scores 5th #1 on the Hot 100 with ‘Permission to Dance’ and breaks numerous all-time records

The Kpop group of the moment has achieved new milestones in its history after the arrival of ‘Permission to Dance’ at # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

BTS’s new single managed to sell over 140,000 copies in its first week, and generated over 14 million streams that secured their fifth # 1 single on the chart. And thanks to that, a new series of records that allow the group to continue increasing its achievements with the support of ARMY.

– The first band in history to achieve 4 # 1 debuts on the Billboard Hot 100.

– First group to replace themselves from # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in over 12 years.

– Joining Drake as the only acts to replace themselves from a # 1 debut single with a # 1 debut single.

– The group has achieved its 5 # 1’s in a span of 10 months and 2 weeks, thus being the fastest accumulation of 5 # 1’s on the chart since Michael Jackson who achieved it in 9 months and 2 weeks.
