SEVENTEEN frontman S.Coups suspends promotional activities for Your Choice to recover from a steep drop.
SEVENTEEN resumed their album promotions after completing the quarantine, but their leader will have to be absent again after suffering an accident. The agency Pledis communicated what happened with S.Coups shortly before the broadcast of M Countdown, where the K-pop group would present their comeback stage.
According to the July 1 statement, rapper Choi Sungcheol “participated in a group activity when he fell and hit his shoulder on the ground.” S.Coups received medical treatment and had the scrapes and cuts on his forehead, ear and chin healed.
“After evaluating him, the doctors recommended that although the bruise on his shoulder will not affect his daily activities, he should reduce the mobility of his limb for a period of time,” the company added.
.
With that in mind, S.Coups is resting to avoid inflammation in the area and to recover properly.
Pledis notes that Sungcheol will not participate in the SEVENTEEN schedule for this week; specifically on the music shows M Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo, and he won’t be attending the fansign of the mini album Your Choice either.
“We will monitor the recovery of S.Coups to determine if he can intervene in other activities that do not require unnecessary effort. We apologize to the fans who have waited so long for SEVENTEEN and we look forward to the generous understanding of him,” concludes Pledis’s note.
SEVENTEEN released their new mini album on June 18. However, they had to postpone their comeback schedule after a staff who worked with them were diagnosed with the disease. The group tested negative but served the respective quarantine from June 19 to 29.
In the Mnet program broadcast this Thursday the 1st, the boyband performed the performance of “Ready to love” and “Anyone” with only 12 members.
