Taylor Swift and TWICE could be collaborating on a song very soon

Taylor Swift fans woke up on Tuesday, June 16, excited by rumors about a collaboration between the artist and a popular yet unidentified K-pop group.

These rumors started due to a Twitter user, who was the person who disclosed in advance the collaboration between Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK, as well as Cardi B‘s collaboration with the girl group and BTS’s collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Sia. Therefore, fans are hopeful and full of excitement at this news.

The collaboration is with one of the most popular K-pop groups of the moment, and one of them is BLACKPINK, they recently announced their new project in celebration of the 5th anniversary called 4+1 PROJECT. This new plan will include many surprises for fans. On the other hand, it is also believed that this collaboration could be with BTS.

The group that has seen exponential success, their single “Butter” has reached #1 on the Hot 100 for 5 consecutive weeks and on the rise. Apart from being a very successful group, a Twitter insider who posts about Taylor Swift has been sharing a lot of BTS content and this led his followers to believe that a project in collaboration with the artists may be coming.

Let’s remember that BTS’s American affiliate is in the hands of Scooter Braun, Swift’s # 1 nemesis, and although she respects idols, it is very likely that a collaboration between them will not happen in the near future. About BLACKPINK, they have not shared much in public with Taylor and it seems that YG Entertainment has other plans for the girls.

.

But all this fuss can take a really drastic turn. First of all, Taylor Swift is an artist who is not very open to collaborations and to accept one, she really has to like the artist. Few are the names that have managed to share a musical title with Miss Americana and these new tracks seem to reveal that the K-pop group chosen by the singer is TWICE.

In the winter of 2019, one of the songs added to a playlist created by Taylor was ‘Likey‘. Also when she premiered her song ‘cardigan’, she sent Jeongyeon the special merchandise of the song, the TWICE member is a swiftie just like her fellow members. Additionally, Tzuyu has covered a Taylor’s song.

This is the maknae’s first song for The Melody Project, the K-pop group’s parallel production where the members show off their individual talents. TWICE’s youngest idol Tzuyu has made her debut on The Melody Project with the release of “ME!” on June 28 KST, nearly five years after her group’s side production began.

This would be the perfect opportunity for TWICE to enter the western market with force, recently, JYP Entertainment confirmed that the girls are preparing an English debut song and that is, the US market has been getting a lot of affection for TWICE, even their latest studio work debuted at #5 on the country’s top music chart.
