GOT7’s Yugyeom and BTS’s Jungkook combine tattoos

During the concert “Muster Sowoozoo” held to celebrate BTS’s 8th anniversary, Jungkook showed off his numerous tattoos without any shame as he always should. Some fans still didn’t know so website Koreaboo said similarities between BTS member’s tattoos and GOT7’s Yugyeom.

The first tattoo corresponds to an ox to represent the year 1997, considered the “Year of the Ox” in the Chinese calendar, and the numbers written in Roman numerals. Both Jungkook and Yugyeom have had this tattoo for a while. Another GOT7 member, BamBam, also shares the same art, but without the ox drawing.

A renowned tattoo artist in South Korea (on Instagram @ta2luv_official) posted photos corresponding to the “Year of the Ox” and many comments on the post suggested they belong to Yugyeom and Jungkook. Jungkook and Yugyeom’s second tattoo is the word “Truth“. The GOT7 member had previously done this tattoo, matching Mark Tuan, his bandmate.

.

Tattoo artist Sagimi (@coreatatoo on Instagram) posted three variations of this tattoo in March. Fans believe the photos are of Jungkook, Yugyeom, and Mark. Tattoos usually have great meaning and symbolism behind them.

It seems that at least one of the meanings behind two of Jungkook’s and Yugyeom’s tattoos is friendship.

In other K-pop related news, this South Korean style of music is banned in North Korea.

The country’s supreme leader since 2011, Kim Jong-un, called K-Pop a corrupting youth and compared the musical genre to “a vicious cancer.”

According to an article in The New York Times, Kim Jong-un increased the punishment for anyone caught listening to K-Pop in North Korea. He became a felony, with a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

The intention is for North Korean citizens themselves to report those who violate the new law.
