BTS, consolidating global success, became a global partner with McDonald’s fast food, selling snacks and special themes. However, there was a bit of confusion in the Vietnam franchise. Interestingly, those who went to the store saw photos of group EXO instead of BTS on posters all over the place. They are both highly successful K-Pop groups, but the confusion caused anger among fans.
In the photo used, it was not possible to see any face, which appeared in silhouettes.
As both groups have 7 members, the confusion was true.
However, EXO fans soon recognized the photo taken in Dubai in the year 2018. Aware of the confusion, the McDonald’s franchise released a statement apologizing for what happened.

This happened after the hashtag #McDonaldsApologizeToEXO was one of the most commented on Twitter. The incorrect photos of EXO have already been removed. “We would like to assure you that such accidents will not occur in the future,” wrote the franchise on Facebook.

In other related news, the BTS Meal accidentally goes viral. A nugget from the group’s combo in collaboration with McDonald’s sold for $ 99,997. That’s because the food format resembles one of the characters from the game “Among Us,” which has become popular with young people. According to The Verge‘s website, the snack was originally announced for $ 0.99 per person on May 28.
However, two days later, the dispute involved bets of up to $ 15,000. The publication claims that in addition to the unusual format, the association with the combo in association with BTS may have been one of the factors responsible for the increase in the value of the auction, which ended last Friday, June 4.
