The deluxe version of Ariana Grande’s album “Positions” is out now and fans are already analyzing the new sounds and lyrics. One song in particular caught the attention of the arianators: “main thing.” In this song, Ariana sings
“It has been a minute since I tried something so sweet”
which when interpreted in Spanish would be something like “I have not tried something so sweet in some time”.
Given the sexual theme of the album, fans also believe that she is talking about semen. It would not be the first time. Also in the same studio work, there is a song entitled “Love language”, in which Grande sings something practically the same:
“It’s been a minute since I’ve tasted something so sweet”
Not to mention “34+35”, a single that is censored for younger fans.
You can see the full lyrics for “main thing” below and judge for yourself:
[Verse 1]
You’re on your way, it’s Friday night
Hear the rain outside, yeah
It’s pink on ice
Candlelight and I feel fine
Anything you like, boy, you know it’s mine
It’s been a minute since I’ve tasted something so sweet
[Pre chorus]
I always get up when I call you, I call you
Yeah you never make me wait, wait
You got me tripping, I adore you
I adore you boy (boy)
Oh baby
[Chorus]
You, oh, you’re really different, baby (Different, baby)
You, you could be the main thing, baby (The main thing, baby)
[Verse 2]
Time to go, take it easy
On tiptoe to the bedroom, looking at me like when it’s cold
You gon keep me warm
All I want to do is spend my time with you
Even when the learning is over and there is nothing new
