Katy Perry faced an incredible wave of criticism on Twitter after revealing that she is feeding her pet dog, Nugget, a vegan diet.
Some fans and viewers have been nosy, saying that it is not legal for her to leave the dog without animal protein and that it corrupts her nature and even accused her of animal abuse.
I’m about 95% ready to be 100% VEGAN… my dog Nugget has been joining me on this journey for the past 4 monthz. Pray for us ok ✌🏻♥️

Another person informed Katy that “dogs cannot be vegan as they are carnivores.” Despite this, the NGO PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) responded to Katy Perry showing ways to keep the dog healthy even without carnivorous food. That is, it is possible that the dogs are vegan.
“I love being a part of anything that is fun, that tells a good story, and has great messages to share with the world.
Now that I have a daughter, I understand that playing is very important. It is a continuous extension of who I am,”
said the singer.
Wonderful news! We’re SO happy for you—and for Nugget, too. You’ll both love how it feels eating clean and helping animals 🐮🐔🐷 Some healthy vegan goodies Nugget will love: https://t.co/jE1xUZGVt8
