On the morning of this Monday, December 14, Jesy Nelson announced her departure from Little Mix for medical reasons. The singer revealed that she needs to focus on recovering her mental health and therefore decided to leave the band.
The remaining members, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, wrote a message to their fans on social media and confirmed that although Jesy will no longer be among their ranks, they will continue as a trio.
After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy.

The girl group continued,
“We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being. We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over.”
“We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us.”
and closed the statement saying:

Although the talented Jesy will not continue, the now trio will continue their way in the music industry and they already gave a taste of what is coming during their presentation at the MTV European Music Awards giving an incredible performance of their hit “Sweet Melody”. which is part of his latest album, “CONFETTI”.
