Whenever Adele releases an album, the world stops for a moment and listens to what she has to say, and as of now, and the world is anxious to hear from her again.
It’s been rumored that her next album was coming out this September, turns out truth is pretty different. The British singer went through a divorce in the midst of the making of the album and had to pause the process to recover quietly, then a coronavirus outbreak and the following quarantine also slowed down the pace in the music industry, which of course, affected the making of the album.
The 32 years old hit-maker has been keeping a low profile since she finished her “Adele Live 2016” tour 3 years ago, she’s only captured the media’s attention when she made her divorce public and other times for something related to her weight, but this time she did it by replying to a fan’s question o Instagram regarding the release of her next project, shutting down any rumors. It’s been 5 years now since she released her last album, titled “25”, which had one of the best lead singles of all time, the global hit and viral meme song “Hello”.
By saying that she doesn’t know when her album is being released, she could mean many thing. For starters, she could be lying to create buzz and then make a big surprise release, or she really could not know because she hasn’t finished it, or she could have finished it but she doesn’t know when it’s being released.
Anyhow, the world will be waiting patiently, even if it’s released in 2021.
This next album is being released under XL Recordings, the record label that she’s been with since the start of her career back in 2009.
