A collaboration between Selena Gomez and Blackpink is being rumored in Korea

The music industry is full on at the moment, and Selena Gomez is a worldwide trend on Twitter, but why?

Seems to be that after giving us a collaboration with Lady Gaga on “Sour Candy”, the South Korean girl group Blackpink are going to please us all with a collaboration with Selena Gomez.

The rumors of the collaboration started a few hours ago on South Korean social networks after a news account tweeted “Collaboration from Blackpink and Selena Gomez.

Wait for the announcement.”

This is why the word “Selena” is a global trend on social media.

Gomez released an album very recently, titled “Rare”, which had 2 official singles “Rare” and the smash hit “Lose You To Love Me”. The album also had a second version with 2 additional songs, one of them, titled “Boyfriend” has an official music video.

As of Blackpink, they released the first single off their next album a few weeks ago, “How You Like That”, which has a music video with more than 300 million views on YouTube, and as mentioned before, they released a collaboration with Lady Gaga. They are also getting ready to drop their next album in the following months

At the moment, Blackpink’s agency YG hasn’t confirmed nor denied the collaboration, and just stated the following: “Wait for the actual announcement later on”.

The collaboration between these two artists seems pretty likely to happen, since Gomez is on the same record label as Blackpink and Lady Gaga, Interescope Records.

And as we have seen before, this label wants to introduce Kpop into the western market.
