Este domingo, 12 de septiembre, se llevó a cabo uno de los principales premios de la música estadounidense, los MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS (VMA), en Nueva York, Estados Unidos. Lil Nas X subió al escenario de premios para recibir el premio principal de la noche, “Video of the Year”, por su actuación en el video de “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. Al agradecer, el cantante defendió la “comunidad gay”.
Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo y BTS fueron algunos de los aspectos más destacados de la ceremonia. La cantante canadiense se llevó a casa los trofeos de “Artist of the Year” y “Best Pop Video”. El intérprete de “good 4 u” ganó tres premios: “Revelation Artist”, “Music of the Year” y “Push Performance”. El grupo surcoreano ganó en las categorías de “Best K-pop” y “Group of the Year”.
